After returning from Ghana where Adam worked with trance-inducing Ga drummers, he decided it best to continue working with percussionists and got in touch with the most possessed-sounding one he knows, Tony Irving. Tony and Adam first got together for some intense free improvising at an undisclosed space in the bowels of a large facility in Brisbane, very late in 2013. Realising after a couple of gigs that they were onto an interesting thing they decided to get Scrapes guitarist Ryan Potter and his recording gear in on the trip and record an album for Duskdarter. This is the result. Brutal, beautiful, free and uncompromising, this is a collection of improvisations not for the feint of heart, yet while it may leave you a mess at the end, it's a beautiful mess.
"Some Shards For The Void sounds as rooted in strength in confidence and ability as it sounds insoluble, irascible, anarchic." - Sonic Masala
